Greater Fair Hill Ministers

Minister LaVita R. Alexander

LaVita R. Alexander is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. Sister Alexander accepted Jesus Christ as a young lady, and shortly thereafter answered God’s call to preach the Gospel. Sister Alexander is a youth leader at Greater Fair Hill Baptist Church, where Dr. Patrick K. Latimore is pastor. Sister Alexander serves at Greater Fair Hill as a Sunday School and Children’s Church teacher, as well as director of “Divine Daughters of Destiny” a ministry designed to mentor young ladies in the ways and teachings of Jesus Christ. Sister Alexander also serves on the Greeters’ Ministry. Sister Alexander finds joy in knowing that she is being used by God to spread the Gospel by sowing into the lives of young ladies. Sister Alexander offers to all young ladies that she mentors the benefit of her own life experiences and challenges at a young age. Sister Alexander believes that transparency and humility are key elements in portraying the image of God’s grace and mercy in her life. Sister Alexander uses various modes of technology and other methods in order to bring real life application to the lessons that she teaches.

“Energetic”, “Bold”, and “Uncompromising Trust in the Lord” are the attributes that support Sister Alexander’s goal in life to do as it is written in 2 Timothy 2:3-4, “… endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.  No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.”

Sister Alexander was recently married to Deacon Julius Alexander of Greater Fair Hill. Together they share a love for God and their two daughters - Maya (age 15) and Madison (age 13). Sister Alexander vows to remain true to her faith as a “Radical for the Lord God” for the rest of her life.

Her favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; lean not unto thine own understanding; in all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” Caroline states, this is what keeps her motivated, just simply trusting and believing in God for everything.

Caroline believes in putting God first above all things and she “wishes above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in good health; even as our souls prospers”.
