Christian Education

a-christian-ed2 Timothy 2:15 “Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing (rightly handling and skillfully teaching) the Word of Truth” (Amplified Version). The word study means to be diligent, be zealous. Rightly dividing means cutting straight. It’s been said that “the Word is a treasure that the steward must guard and invest. It is the soldier’s sword and the farmer’s seed.” But it is also the workman’s tool for building, measuring and repairing God’s people. The preacher and teacher who use the Word correctly will build their church the way God wants it to be built. Each of us as God’s worker will be either approved or ashamed. The Word approved means “one who has been tested and found acceptable”. The word ashamed means the worker is operating below standard and cannot be accepted. It means loss of reward. An approved worker diligently studies the Word and seeks to apply it to his or her life. Through the teaching of sound doctrine, the church enables the believer to operate victoriously in the Kingdom and will afford them influence and victory in their day to day living. Empowering them to live as God has called them to live and enabling them to receive the supplies that are according to His riches in glory.
