evangelism-imageMatthew 28:18-20 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you, and lo, I am with thee always even unto the end of the world.  Amen. (King James Version).

Christianity is an evangelism and missionary faith.  The very nature of God demands this, for God is love and God is not willing that any should perish according to 2 Peter 3:9.  Jesus died on the cross for the whole world.  Then those of us who are His children share in His nature must be willing to share the good news to a lost world.  The Greek verb translated “go” is actually going.  “While you are going, make disciples of all the nations.

Evangelism involves proclaiming the good news.  Jesus had opened the minds of His disciples to understand the Scriptures.  It is not enough to simply just win people over to the Savior, we must teach them the Word of God and the Word of God ministers to the whole individual through the proper interpretation.

God’s Word empowers, strengthens, encourages and guides the individual to moral, ethical, health and economic prosperity.
