Greater Fair Hill Baptist Church HALO Ministry: Health Awareness with Love

Scripture:  3rd John 1:3 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers.

Our Vision:

To actively support the Church and Pastor’s vision for the church through our service and commitment to this ministry. To serve in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ with caring and affection by making sure there is a team member available at all times to care for the physical needs of the congregation.  To help our members understand that their body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and that it is very important for them to maintain a healthy lifestyle to help decrease the incidence of sickness and disease.

Our Purpose:

The purpose of the Health Awareness Ministry is to provide aide to the sick, to provide health education and blood pressure screenings to the congregation, and to provide health information about their health care needs through health screenings during the year.  To encourage each person to seek professional medical advice concerning their specific health care needs.  We will also provide aide to our members in the time of illness by providing assistance until medical help arrives.

John 12:34-36  A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.  By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.  Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me afterwards
Colossians 4:17  And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.
Psalm 122:1  I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

Mission Statement:

To greet and welcome all who enter God’s house of prayer.  Be a committed servant of God and lovingly offer Christian services to help make every worship service at Greater Fair Hill Baptist Church be glorified, magnified and enhanced through His Name.

Purpose:

The Greeters’ Ministry greets, meets and welcomes all members, friends, and guests at the entrance door of God’s house with a warm smile and gracious spirit.  The Greeters Ministry is an extension of God’s love to everyone who comes into His house and an extension of the Ushers’ Ministry.  The Greeters actively support the Church and Pastor through service and commitment.  The Greeters are a ministry of helps because they are the first person that members, friends and visitors see when they first enter the church.
