Minister Bruce E. Scott

Bruce Everette Scott was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana.

He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at the age of 10 at Greater First Pilgrim Baptist Church, under the leadership of his beloved grandfather, the late Reverend Dennis B. Thomas. At Greater First Pilgrim BC, he served as a Jr. Deacon, Deacon and assisted with many other church and ministry duties.

Bruce attended McDonough 35 High School and studied Business Administration at University of New Orleans in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Bruce is the son of the late Mrs. Betty Mae Thomas Stansberry. He has six siblings, Brian, Barry (Deceased), Betty, Brigitte, Otis and Orlinda.  He is married to Lisa Watkins Scott and has one lovely daughter, Asha Scott.

Professionally, Bruce is a Regional Sales Manager for a national IT consulting firm. He has an extensive background in Sales and Sales Management in the telecommunications industry and has blessed to work for some of the top leading companies such as Sprint, GE Capital and Winstream

After relocating to Atlanta, Georgia in 1987, he became an active member of Antioch Baptist Church North, under the leadership of Reverend Cameron Alexander for more than 20 years.

Bruce joined Greater Fair Hill Baptist Church in December 2012. He currently serve as President, Men’s Ministry (Men of Victory), Pastoral Care Ministry and Male Choir. Previously, he was a Children/Youth Ministry Teacher.

By watching and helping his grandfather take care of the church and the people, Bruce learned how to serve the people and community.  

For such a time as this, he’s now moving forth in the call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is currently attending Seminary, with a concentration in Theology.

In his spare time, he enjoys reading, dining out, traveling and family gatherings.
